    This year, there are 93 primary and secondary schools under the administration of the district, in which there are 69 primary schools, 18 junior middle schools, 2 senior middle schools, and 2 combined junior and senior high schools, and 2 nine-year system schools. Various types of students at school total to 87,052 persons. There are 237 kindergartens under the administration and 34890 persons in nursery schools and kindergartens. State-run kindergartens in the whole district have reached up to 70, and the number of kindergartens occupies 45.6% of kids.

    Total teaching and administrative staff of middle and primary schools in the whole district are 5313 persons, in which full-time teachers total to 4873 persons. Total teaching and administrative staff of kindergartens are 5194 persons, in which full-time teachers are 2330 persons.

    New student enrollment numbers of middle and primary schools totaled to 21,729 persons in the whole district, in which there were 11,620 persons from primary schools, 9,200 persons for junior middle school, and 909 persons for senior middle school. Graduate numbers totaled to 17,479 persons, in which 8,909 persons for primary schools, 7,326 persons for junior middle schools and 1244 persons for senior middle schools.

    Newly-constructed and expanded-school houses of middle and primary schools as well as kindergartens in the whole district totaled to 72,312 square meters, in which newly-increased area of general middle schools was 27,411 square meters, newly-increased area of primary schools was 39,718 square meters, and newly-increased area of kindergartens was 5,183 square meters.

    Educational quality in the whole district kept rising. There were 1,172 persons with over 600 scores in the senior high school entrance examinations this year, it was more than 500 persons than 2013, and occupied 1/3 of total amount of over 600 scores in the whole city, pass rate of all subjects was 73.9% and pass rate of total scores was 84.4%.
