[Location and Area]
    Ganjingzi District situates at the central urban area of Dalian, it is the link connecting main downtown and new urban area. Geological coordinate is northern latitude 38°47′～39°07′, east longitude is 121°16′～121°45′. The area is 502 square kilometers. Topography is wide at the southwest, narrow at the northeast. Length from the east to west is 40 km, width between the north and south is 35 km. Northeast borders with Jinzhou District (Jinzhou New District), the south takes Shahekou District as the neighbourhood, the southwest adjoins with Shahekou District, the east and south are close to the Yellow sea, the north is close to the Bohai Sea. The land at the north within the district situates at strategic passage of Dalian urban area, railway and roads form the network. It locates at Dalian North Railway Station in Nanguanling area, terminal point of Harbin and Dalian Highway, and one of key hub of railway in the northeast. Domestic and overseas airlines of Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport within the District extend in all directions.
